The daring combination of Orange, Pink & Red
I used to be a strictly black and white girl, both in dress and décor, but over the years color has crept into my life, and I now embrace every color of the rainbow. The master of the exiting pink & orange color combination was Yves Saint Laurent, just look how that works in this beautiful YSL Rive Gauche creation from 1984 (see “create the look for less” below):

Picasso is such a vast subject that is daunting to say anything at all…I am always foremost touched by his playfulness and humor, despite the forcefulness of everything he did. Picasso’s monumental legacy is hard to grasp, perhaps he was a “Monstre Sacré” in many ways, but I see that as an achievement…His long life spanned most of the 20th century and he recorded it in his art.
“A day without laughter is a wasted day”. This motto shows in so many photographs of Picasso in his daily life. Sitting at the breakfast table, seeing art and wit in everyday objects:

The enduring glamour of a fabulous “updo”
I bemoan the (nearly) lost art of chic updo’s, and I don’t mean the “nonchalant” versions of today, I mean the really unbelievably intricate glamorous hairdo’s of ladies of all ages, as a daily look, not just for your wedding day or a special occasion. In my Paris neighborhood hair salon, one girl is still specialized in the art of the weekly “updo” for many ladies.
