Never a Bad Hair Day…

The enduring glamour of a fabulous “updo”
I bemoan the (nearly) lost art of chic updo’s, and I don’t mean the “nonchalant” versions of today, I mean the really unbelievably intricate glamorous hairdo’s of ladies of all ages, as a daily look, not just for your wedding day or a special occasion. In my Paris neighborhood hair salon, one girl is still specialized in the art of the weekly “updo” for many ladies.
When the film “Evita” with Madonna was released, it sparked a brief nostalgia for Evita Peron‘s many fantastic hairdo’s.
This was a spread in Madame Figaro, I immediately went out and bought a thick braid (I found a good choice online) to create these looks, this takes care of any “bad hair day”!
And I am haunting my friend Daniel, a famous Hollywood make-up artist, for a hairpiece…

Recently, my heart raced when I saw this beautiful photograph by Karl Lagerfeld, showing that such hairdo’s look stunning on young women too!
