High and Mighty

How the high waisted pant has made a comeback AT LAST!

For years and years we girls have had to live with the most unflattering and terrifying of all trends: the low waisted pants. It is a no-win situation: either you are thin and your torso looks a mile high and you look like a straight pole or you are chubby and you are cooked: bulge over waistline: not good!

This is my ode to the high waisted pant with their enduring glamour and elegance. If you are skinny they will give you a figure, emphasizing a waistline, creating a silhouette and give you long legs. If you are chubby: all of the previous applies too. Conclusion: a win-win situation for all body types. See below for “Create the Look”.

I was so happy when the French fashion brand Gerard Darel offered these blue velvet pants, I will wear them until they are worn out.
